In order for delivery to go smoothly, you must have the proper, adequate equipment ready to offload the concrete blocks from the trailer once it arrives. However, there are a few different requirements needed when selecting either of these options. We offer two different methods of transport for your blocks: delivery or pick up. Last but not least, we will discuss how you can receive your concrete blocks, once you’ve placed an order. If you have any questions regarding these blocks, please let us know! All you need to do for moving the block around is to attach a chain to the loop. For moving and offloading the blocks, there is a rebar handle loop installed on top of each block. One of the two sets of v-wedges can be found on the top and side, while the reverse set of the wedge is on the bottom and other side. Their signature v-wedge feature enables the blocks to slide together with ease. ![]() These v-wedge blocks also come with a handy interlocking system. ![]() Thirteen of the 6’ blocks can fit on a typical delivery semi truck bed while twenty-six of the 3’ blocks can fit. However, to avoid some possible confusion between block names, here are some of the more commonly used names within our business. Concrete blocks can have altering names depending on different locations, businesses, and construction sites. I suspect there are probably other construction recycling type places in the Metro area if you googled for it.We provide concrete barrier blocks in Hartford, CT although you may refer to them by a different name. I would definitely call before making a trip up to Boulder! (They have a location in Ft. I went there and they did have a couple pallets of odd size flagstone, but I didn't see any other "brick type" things. (copy/paste links! Don't have time to live link them!)īud's Warehouse is near I70 and Colorado Blvd., and while I haven't been there-yet, someone very highly recommended it to me and I saw some of the stuff she bought there-cheap! I looked thru some of their pictures and there were some showing pallets of concrete blocks and things like pavers and bricks that they've had at some point, so I think they'd be worth a call.Īnd the other one I know about is a place somebody here on RMG mentioned once. Habitat for Humanity ReStores could possibly have some or some other type construction "blocks." They have various locations around the Metro area. Like Greg said, things can "disappear" pretty quickly! I'd recommend calling places like these to see if they have anything just then, and be ready to go right away if they do. Other than that there are construction recycling places where you might be able to find them pretty inexpensively. I belong to the North Denver group and there's virtually no activity on that one-don't know if the others are more active or not. There's another "recycling system" called ReUseIt with several groups in the area. I second all that! The first thing I thought of was FreeCycle, and since there are lots of groups in the Metro area you could ask for some on several of the ones closest to you, but if you're not already a member on some of them you'd need to find something to "offer" on any you joined before you could post a "wanted."
